Funeral services for Sharon Bond Johnson, 78, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Bro. Scott Matthews will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Mrs. Johnson passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at her residence in Teague.
Sharon Bond Johnson was born on November 15, 1941 in Freestone to parents Guy & Dorothy Bond. She attended school in Freestone and then Teague where she graduated with the Class of 1960. Sharon moved to the Dallas area where she lived for several years before returning to Teague. She married her high school sweetheart, David Johnson on December 31, 1966 and they shared over fifty-one years of marriage together. Sharon had several occupations throughout her life. She enjoyed working with Dr. Allen Hicks for several years. Her favorite things were gardening, birds, flowers, music, traveling, and her girls.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughter, Julie Atchley & husband Michael; one granddaughter, Carly Rogers & husband Stewart; two great-granddaughters, Camryn Rogers and Maisyn Rogers; one sister, Sue Bond Hull & husband Charles; sister-in-law, Brenda Johnson Cannon & husband Junior; nieces, Tina Sessions, Vicki James, and Beth Smith; nephew, Casey Townsend; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Johnson; and her parents, Guy & Dorothy Bond.
