A very special weekend called ‘Arise!’ is being planned at Calvary Baptist Church in Fairfield for all 7th through 12th graders in our area.

Beginning Friday evening, July 24th at 5:30 pm, those attending will be treated to a weekend of Christ-centered worship, small group studies, fun and games and even an opportunity for those participating to help members of the community in need of some extra help.

On Saturday afternoon, students will be treated to a pool party at the home of one of Calvary’s members. All food and drinks will be provided throughout the weekend and participants will be staying at homes of Calvary’s members both Friday and Saturday nights. Girls will stay in one while boys will be in another.

The event will conclude Sunday, July 26th at 12:15 pm Sunday following the morning worship at Calvary Baptist Church.

“There will be a formal schedule posted online mid-week of all of the activities for the event for students and parents,” stated new Calvary youth minister David Skinner. “We need students to pre-register to make sure we have adequate food, drinks and lodging arrangements made. We want this to be a weekend that will bring those participating closer to Christ and teach them the importance of discipleship in an ever-changing world.’
