The day was bright and sunny, and the smiles were warm and frequent, as Wortham’s “4th On Main” took over the brick streets of downtown on Saturday morning, July 4, 2020.
Driving off with a First Place win was a three-family float by members of the Calame, Allen, and Gierisch families.
Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty waved at the crowd from the pickup bed of the Second Place entry, driven by David Hayes, with his wife, Alicia, supervising. the patriotic duo were portrayed by son, Brenton, and friend, Katelynn Spain.
Third Place was a John Deere tractor, under the steady hands of Bill Capers.
This year’s event was enjoyed by all.
