Disc Golf, in particular the Fairfield, TX Disc Golf course named FTX DGC, has a complete set of rules and instructions on how to play Disc Golf.
The idea of the game is to complete the course with the least number of throws as possible. You throw from that hole’s tee, and you throw again wherever your disc lands until you make it to the hole.
Definitions
A throw is when you take the disc and toss it to move it to a new location, and every throw is counted during a game.
The starting point for each hole is called a tee or tee pad.
A supporting point is any part of the thrower’s body in contact with the playing surface, or any other surface that provides support, at the moment the disc is released.
The lie is any place the player takes a stance to throw, it is the tee at the beginning of each hole.
A mini marker disc is a small disc, not used in play that may mark the lie.
Any throw made within 10 meters of the target is called a putt.
An out-of-bounds (OB) area is where a disc may not be played or a stance taken.
Stay turned! A Grand Opening Tournament has been set for July 11th for the new course.
