HWY 84 WAS COMPLETLY SHUT DOWN on Friday evening, April 10, 2020 while Teague Fire Department, Dew Fire Department, Fairfield Fire Department, Teague Hospital District EMC, and Mexia Fire Department performed extrication on the driver of the 18-wheeler.

Waco Fire Department Hazmat responded to the scene with a hazmat cleanup team to clean up the spilled gasoline.

The accident occurred around 4:00 p.m., and the clean up took at least eight hours.

Freestone County Sheriff’s Office, Texas DPS and Wortham Fire Department also responded.

Special thanks were given to Fairfield Fire Department Auxiliary and Bush’s Chicken for the food and drinks provided.
