The groundbreaking at the City of Fairfield Disc Golf Park was a blast with a good number of people showing up to become part of the excitement.
The weather was dreary but Pastor Andrew Weitner was on hand to make sure everything went great, just like the amazing Disc Golf Course he spearheaded designing.
Disc Golf Pro Landis Knight was on hand with Casey Wright and Chandler Black to help people learn how to throw that had never thrown before.
People young and old seemed to enjoy tossing a disc at the practice net set up on the basketball court.
Some of the community that came to the groundbreaking were experienced in Disc Golf and had fun trying out the beginnings of the new course.
Others, had never played before, but that did not stop them for trying for the first time.
The course is planned to open this spring, so look forward to learning how to play.
