A beautiful, new building is located in downtown Teague, Texas.

The Economic Development Corporation of Teague, Inc. (EDC) purchased a building around two years ago and has worked magic renovating to make it new and functional.

EDC President Stephanie Burns talked about how the building, “was just a shell of a building, full of dirt, debris, and old bricks.”

Now, with the renovation, this building is alive, yet the history still shines through.

The building has huge windows and aluminium cladding Melbourne did a great job in the outside that open into a spacious room, perfect for meetings.

Behind this room is a hallway leading to three offices, a break room, and ADA compliant restrooms. The brick is exposed and the cement floors have been stained.

The EDC’s office has a window that looks out over the front room; the other two offices are identical in size.

The break room has a fully functional kitchen, and there are even washer/dryer connections.

Storage space was not overlooked, as a nicely sized storage room was included in the renovations.

The EDC kept the future in mind as they renovated, and making sure to include features another business could put to use.

“We do have two offices that are available to rent or maybe even to help out a new business to get started,” Burns explains, “We hope to offer many different options to anyone willing to come to Teague.”

In fact, this newly renovated building is for sale, and if sold the EDC would, “simply move onto the next journey,” Burns says.

The EDC is a non-profit corporation has a purpose to promote, assist, and enhance economic development.

They are able to take on a variety of projects from working to bring businesses into Teague to improving the quality of life in Teague.

Currently offered incentives include a Beautification Program, a Rebate Program, City Tax Abatement, and several State Incentives.
