December rainfall fell short of normal with only 1.58 inches total. We had three days with measurable rainfall with a greatest one-day total of 0.89 inch on December 10. Total rainfall for the year 2019 was 46.30 inches. Our normal annual rainfall is 42.41 inches.
We had a year of extremes on rainfall with a 26-year record wet spring (second quarter) with 31.42 inches of rain followed by a record dry summer (third quarter) with only 0.76 inch.
December temperatures were slightly above normal with only two days with freezing or below temperatures. We had a high temperature of 77 degrees on December 15 and a low of 29 degrees on December 18.
Temperatures for the year were about normal with a low temperature of 27 degrees on March 5 and a high of 98 degrees on August 13 and 26.
