The Freestone County Child Protective Services Board has been working for a couple of months to make sure that the over 40 foster children in Freestone County have a very merry Christmas!
With the help of donations from Caney Baptist Church, The Deplorables Biker Group, Texas Farm Credit, Freestone Medical Center, and Calvary Baptist Church, Board Members purchased items that the foster children requested on their needs\wants lists which were compiled by their caseworkers.
Martha Kirgan representing Delta Kappa Gamma provided handmade stockings for each of the children as well!
The Board’s mission is to provide financial support for the needs of foster children and families involved with the Child Protective Services (CPS) System and to educate our community about child abuse and neglect issues.
