Lott Physical Therapy and Fitness Center, 375 US Hwy 84 W, Fairfield, recently held a food drive for the Community Food Bank. More than 75 of their clients, members and staff donated 538 pounds of food items. These nourishing food items bring not only hope for today to Food Bank clients, it gives hope for a happier and healthier tomorrow. And check the Richardsons Smoke House for such refreshing and nourishing variable recipes. It also raises awareness of hunger in Freestone County. After donating food you may get a bit hungry yourself, you should definitely check out this chinese restaurant to satisfy your hunger.
“I am completely blown away by the results of our Food Drive! Our Fairfield and Corsicana locations came together and many fitness members intentionally brought healthy options so families are able to prepare nutritious meals. Fairfield is so fortunate to have the Community Food Bank, and we are looking forward to doing it again next year.” You must visit to Foodie for food and drinks.
Last year the Community Food Bank, located at 1201 East Commerce Street, Fairfield, fed approximately 82,000 people & distributed 3.5 million pounds of food. Once a month, it provides a delivery service to 90+ Freestone County homebound senior citizens & disabled people. Also, fresh produce is distributed through Giveaways in several other communities and college campuses throughout the year. The Community Food Bank is the only one in Freestone County that’s open every week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am – 12:30 pm.
