The 2019 amendment election is Tuesday, November 5th and sign up for the 2020 election begins Monday, November 9th. Sign up for 2020 ends December 9that 6:00 p.m. Notarized applications and the appropriate filing fee, check or money order, maybe dropped off at my office, Fairfield Veterinary Hospital.
Freestone County has 15 voting precincts divided up into 4 commissioners precincts. Each voting precinct has a precinct Chair which is usually the precinct election judge. Precinct Chairs must also fill out an application for a place on the ballot although no fee is required.
The 2020 primary will be held Tuesday, March 3rd 2020.
Some of the 15 voting precincts have few voters. There is an ongoing discussion considering consolidating some voting precincts.
Each voting precinct needs a judge and 1 to 3 clerks. I always need more help.
