Evelyn Louise Watson Moegelin born 08/31/1927 in Dallas Texas to Taswell Silas Watson, Sr. and Evelyn Sadie (Pryor) Watson. She earned her angel wings on October 5, 2019 after a short stay in Hospice. Evelyn was known from childhood as “Dimples”. Upon High School graduation she was announced as Evelyn Watson and no one knew who they were calling. On graduation she applied to nursing school in San Antonio, but she was not yet 17, the minimum age to begin studies, so she attended Sam Houston for prerequisites. She went on to graduate from Physician & Surgeons nursing school in the Spring of 1948.  Evelyn married Charles Thomas Moegelin in June 1948.


She worked at the NIX hospital in downtown San Antonio until mid-1954.  The Moegelin’s returned home to practice nursing in her hometown of Fairfield serving the Fairfield hospital as Administrator, director of nursing, the only surgical nurse in town, head of central supply and the dietary/kitchen ordering needs.  Later she became the office manager/nurse for the medical practice of Dr. L.L.Bonner, retiring in the spring of 1968.


She is preceded in death by both parents, beloved husband Tommy, brother Tas Watson Jr., sister Helen Watson Steward Jefferies.  She is survived by son, William R Moeglin and wife Debbie (Sissy), daughter Nancy Dismukes, husband John Thomas Dismukes III, granddaughter Crystal Burns (Tyler), great granddaughter Evelyn Virginia, granddaughter Kyndle Rogers (Elijah) great granddaughters Kaelyn and Savannah; granddaughter Amanda Dismukes YI (Bruce), great grandson Alexander Jude and grandson John Thomas Dismukes IV. She also has many loving nieces, nephews and friends that will truly miss “Aunt Dimps/ Ms. Dimples”.  She served the community of Fairfield for many years, touched many by her loving and giving compassionate soul.
