Last Friday night, September 27, the following Wortham Varsity Band members were honored during their half time show when the Wortham Bulldogs traveled to Cross Roads.
RaShay Covey was awarded band member of the week, and mellophone section was the section of the week.
The mellophone members (above) are: Michelle Misini, Hope Pirkle, and Case Samford.
The Bulldogs are off this Friday and back home on Oct. 11. Please come out and support these hard working students!
The Wortham Bulldog band is under the direction of Kevin Russell.
On Friday, October 11, the Wortham Varsity Band honored some of their band members for their hard work during the week.
During the half time activities, the band member of the week, Kimberly Harrington, and the section of the week, the Leadership Team, were announced.
The Leadership Team includes members Ashilyn Cartwright, JJ Rojas, Ben Havens, Travis Laminack, Jackson Tacker, and Tristen Schamp.
The Bulldog Band will compete in their UIL Marching Contest in LaVega on Saturday, October 19, and their next half time performance will be October 18 in Mart during the varsity football game. The title of their half time show is “Heartbeat.”
The Wortham Varsity Band is under the direction of Kevin Russell.
