Wortham is hard at work organizing their First Annual National Night Out to be held Tuesday, October 1st, 2019.
National Night Out is a free event hosted in order for citizens of all ages, especially children, to get to know and be comfortable with all of their local first responders.

National Night Out in Teague, Texas will be at the 8th Avenue City Park on October 1st, 2019 starting at 5:30 p.m. with an 8:00 p.m. candlelight vigil.
Fun will be available to all at this year’s National Night Out with face painting, a dunking booth, food, drinks, fingerprinting of children, bounce houses, games and more.
DJ services will be provided by Farris Entertainment.
Local law enforcement agencies, fire departments, EMT and public works department will be onsite to visit with and have their vehicles and equipment so it can be explored.
To help everyone reflect, honor and remember those who serve and who have served but are no longer with us there will be a Candlelight Vigil at 8:00 p.m.
The raffle drawing for the custom made Dallas Cowboy cooker and a 16-foot deer stand will also be taking place.
