Wortham started off their district play with beating Coolidge in three sets: 25-6; 27-25; 25-11.

Rylee Goolsby had 6 kills, 3 aces, 1 block and 1 dig.
Jessica Black had 6 kills, 1 dig and 1 ace.
Samantha Wright had 4 kills and 7 digs.
Cate Samford had one kill.
Setter Reagan Stuver had 16 assists, 4 digs and 3 aces.
Freshman setter Allie McCoslin stepped in and got one assist and one dig.
Defense specialist Brynn Bowden had 7 digs.
Libero Megan Whaley had 11 digs and one ace.

Wortham beat Penelope in three games: 25-10; 25-11; and 25-14. Their district record now stands at 2-0.
Rylee Goolsby led the offense with 13 kills, 2 blocks, 2 aces, 2 digs and one assist.
Jessica Black had 12 kills and 2 digs.
Samantha Wright had 6 kills, 6 digs, and 1 assist.

Leading in the Lady Bulldog’s defense was Libero Megan Whaley with 12 digs and Brynn Bowden with 8 digs.  Spring Hogan and Kenlie Stuver had 2 digs a piece and Grace McCoslin had one dig and one ace.
Wortham will face Riesel in Riesel next Tuesday.
