Organizers of the upcoming COUNTRY FAIR have announced that a 50/25/25% Raffle is being included in the “Complete the Community Food Bank Lobby” campaign, which culminates in the fundraising event scheduled for Saturday, September 14, in Fairfield.
“The special thing about this particular raffle,” said volunteer Liz Thornton, “is that there will be two winners! Fifty percent of the amount collected from raffle ticket sales will go to the “Complete the Lobby” campaign and two winners will receive twenty-five percent of the total amount each.”
Tickets will be sold during various activities around the city and at various businesses up until the date of the event, and then ticket sales will continue at the COUNTRY FAIR, during the festivities. Winners will be announced at 3:30 pm from the “Blue Buzzard Stage” (the stage in the white tent).
Ticket purchasers need not be present to win. Winners will be contacted on September 15. If a winner does not claim his/her prize by October 1, the funds will be turned over to the “Complete the Lobby” campaign.
Raffle tickets are $5 per ticket or 5 tickets for $20. Purchase them (cash only) in Fairfield: Accessories, Etc.; Armadillo Emporium; and Kennedy’s Korner.
The 50/25/25% Raffle is only one aspect of the day-long festival called COUNTRY FAIR, scheduled for Saturday, September 14, from 10 am to 4 pm. Included are music and dance performances, how-to demonstrations, a Kids Zone, sales of baked goods and homemade frozen casseroles and much more.
Admission to the event is FREE. The festivities will be held on the grounds where River of Life Family Worship Center and the Community Food Bank reside at 1201 E. Commerce Street, Fairfield, TX.
