A shooting occurred on Wednesday, July 24th, 2019 on Hwy 164 at the Freestone-Limestone County Line with dispatch receiving the call around 3:30 a.m.
The victim was flown to Waco, Texas for medical care.
Condition of the male victim was unkown at the time a press release was issued by Limestone County Sheriff Dennis Wilson on the day of the incident. No additional information was available, following a call to the Sheriff’s Office on Monday.
A male juvenile has been identified as a suspect. At the time of the last update no arrest has been made, but it is an ongoing investigation, according to the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office.
According to last week’s press release, Sheriff Dennis Wilson says there is no threat to the community in connection with this case.
Wilson also advised he would release more information at a later date.
