Come out and meet your Freestone County Constables, and enjoy a FREE BBQ Lunch on Monday, July 22, 2019 on the Courthouse Square.
“We would like for people to know just what constables do,” states Pamela Barnes – Constable, Pct. 3.
Established in 1823, before Texas became a nation, constables are peace officers for the county, elected by their voting precinct. In addition to law enforcement, constables also have the responsibility of serving and executing civil court orders.
There are four constables who serve Freestone County, Texas:
–Pct. 1 – Buck Bonner
–Pct. 2 – Lynn Clary
–Pct. 3 – Pamela Barnes
–Pct. 4 – Wade Harrison
Get to know your Constables and come for lunch from 11:30 to 1:00 p.m. BBQ will be served, free of charge, until supplies run out.
