Our June rainfall total was 0.98 inch above normal at 5.01 inches. Our normal rainfall for June is 4.03 inches. We had seven days with measurable rainfall with a greatest one-day total of 1.90 inches on June 29. Our rainfall total for the year now stands at 39.02 inches, just 3.39 inches short of our normal annual rainfall.
April, May and June combined produced 31.42 inches of rain giving us our wettest spring over the past 25 years.
Temperature-wise, June temperature highs ranged from the upper 80’s to the mid 90’s as compared to last year when we had highs mostly in the upper 90’s with six triple-digit temperature days.

LOOKING AHEAD TO JULY: July is normally our hottest month of the year by a fraction of a degree. However, our hottest day of the year occurs more often in August than July due to the mid-point of summer being in August.
July is normally our driest month of the year. Our normal rainfall for July is 1.95 inches.
Normal rainfall values currently used were derived from averages over the twenty-year period from 1997 through 2016.
