Livestock Marketing Trends is the title of the June 6 natural resources webinar hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service ecosystem science and management unit.
The webinar is part of the Texas Range Webinar Series scheduled the first Thursday of each month from noon to 1 p.m., said Pete Flores, AgriLife Extension webinar coordinator in Corpus Christi.
“Livestock markets have been in the news a lot lately with tariffs, counter-tariffs, changing export markets and African swine fever in China,” said Dr. David Anderson, AgriLife Extension economist, College Station, who will host the webinar. “Now rising feed costs threaten cattle and calf prices along with growing supplies,” Anderson said. “However, the cattle industry continues to benefit from strong consumer demand.”
In this webinar, he will discuss these topics and how they will affect returns from rangeland enterprises.
No Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units will be offered, so there is no charge, Flores said.
