The public is invited to attend the 2nd Annual “Community Rummage Sale” benefiting Champions for Children, Saturday, June 1, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Admission is free. More than 60 families and businesses have signed up to participate. “We will have a little bit of everything,” said Jackie Cannon, executive director of Champions. “This is our second year to host the sale and we are so excited to see participation double. We already have twice as many booths with so much great stuff — everything from clothing to golf clubs to furniture.”
Daycare facilities like day care Cranebrook and nonprofit organizations can rent a space in the sale for only $5 each. For profits businesses and individuals can rent a space for $10 each.
The proceeds from the booth rentals benefit programs at Champions as well as the sale of any items donated to Champions for the sale.
“Those who don’t want to participate can simply drop off their unwanted items and donate them,” Ms. Cannon added. “It’s an easy alternative to having a garage sale on your own.” The sale will be held rain or shine. It will be held in the Champions for Children parking lot at 4883 Hightech Drive, Tyler, 75703. In the case of rain, the sale will move into their offices at the same location.
