Freestone County youth are getting their animal projects ready for the upcoming Freestone County Fair & Rodeo.
FFA and 4-H students compete in both breeding and market events for their livestock.
According to Extension Agent-Ag Erin Davis, Freestone County exhibitors have entered a total of 263 Market animals for the county fair livestock shows, along with 162 Breeding entries.
The breakdown is as follows:

–Goats – 67
–Sheep – 33
–Swine – 79
–Steers – 35
Breeding
–Rabbits – 22
–Goats – 24
–Sheep – 27
–Swine – 55
–Heifers – 34
The Freestone County Fair & Rodeo is set for June 10-15, 2019.
Livestock shows will be held throughout the week with the Market Sale on that Saturday morning at the Ike Carden Pavilion.
