Texas Legal Services Center (TLSC), a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help the underserved by making civil justice accessible to every Texan, has free monthly clinics every second Tuesday at Palestine Public Library with the next one being Tuesday, June 11 from 11:00-2:00.
Clients, who meet TLSC’s income requirement, can receive free legal advice from a TLSC staff attorney, based in Austin.
Clients connect remotely using a library computer with audio and video equipment. TLSC attorneys are able to meet with clients through this private video chat.
During the thirty-minute appointments, TLSC attorneys can answer questions about divorce, child custody, visitation rights, paternity, and name changes.
Clients will be served by appointment only, by registering at tlsc.org/palestine.
For more info, the TLSC toll-free at 1-800-622-2520 or Palestine Public Library at 903-729-4121.
