The 2019 Home and Garden Show is coming up next month, in conjunction with the Freestone County Fair & Rodeo.
Returning this year is a LEGO® Competition (Div. 5, Class 10).
Divisions in the Show include Art, Baked Goods, Food Preservations, Horticulture, Needlework & Crafts, Photography, Quilts, and Sewing.
The Home & Garden Show is open to all residents of Freestone County; and entries must be checked on Monday, June 10th between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 Noon at the Fairfield Civic Center (Green Barn). Also available are demonstration areas and educational displays for professionals. Entry fee is $3 per item. Professional items will not be judged.
Judging will take place on Monday, June 10th and will be done by age categories to include: Kiddie Corner (4-7 year olds), Junior Youth (8-12 year olds), Senior Youth (13-18 year olds), Adults (19-64 year olds), and Senior Citizens (65 years or older).
A silent auction will take place Monday evening for the baked goods in the youth age groups.
Pictures of Best of Division winners will be taken on Wednesday, June 12th at 5:00 p.m.
Fairgoers are invited to come see the exhibits. The Civic Center will be open on Monday evening after judging is complete (approximately 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.), and Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Exhibitors may pick up entries on Saturday, June 15th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. NO early releases.
