The Civil Suite of Vicki and Charles Allred vs. Freestone County Fair Association and members: Sid Fryer, Will McSwane, Craig Jackson, Frank Bonner, Hugh Fryer, Tony McAdams, James Grant, Clinton Minchew, and Scott Holmes; as well as Jason Murray, individually and d/b/a J&J Rodeo Company has been dropped.
Court records show that the Allreds filed a Notice of Non-Suit Without Prejudice, which was approved and signed by Judge Patrick Simmons on February 28, 2019.
A Non-Suit Without Prejudice means that the plaintiff is not pursuing the case any further currently, but reserves the right to come back at a later date and re-file if they so choose.
The lawsuit stemmed from an accident that occurred during the 2017 Freestone County Fair & Rodeo in which the Allreds claim that Mrs. Allred sustained an injury while she was participating in a barrel-racing event that left her a quadriplegic.
