March is Spring Break month, and Fairfield Lake State Park is ready with some outdoor fun!

–Dutch Oven Demo

  Enjoy a tasty sample of dutch oven cooking and learn all about the history and care of dutch ovens.  Coffee provided!

  Meet at the Volleyball Field at 9:00 a.m.

–Make A Snake

Friday, March 15th

2:00 p.m.

  Learn all about sneaky snakes and peculiar plants that you might find in the park.

  Meet at the Volleyball Field in Cooks Ferry at 2:00 p.m.

–Camping Basics

Saturday, March 16th

2:00 p.m.

  It’s in Tents!

  Join a ranger to learn the basics of setting up a campsite and easy ways to keep the park beautiful.

  Meet at the Amphitheater in Springfield at 2:00 p.m.

–Back Yard Bass

Friday, March 22nd

2:00 p.m.

  Are you ready to fish?

  Join Ranger Kate to learn all you need to know about being a responsible angler while having fun.

  Meet at the Volleyball Field at 2:00 p.m.

–Art on the Go!

Saturday, March 23rd

2:00 p.m.

  You don’t have to be an artist.

  This quick art adventure gives you a chance to begin your own nature journal.

  Then use your imagination to create your own Bug Buddy!

  Meet in the Day Use Area at 2:00 p.m.

About the Park:

  Located northeast of Fairfield, Fairfield Lake State Park is set along the shoreline of a 2,400-acre lake.

  Entrance fees are $4 for adults per day.  Children 12 and under admitted free of charge.  (Normal entry fees apply for all events)
