March 7 webinar to cover brush herbicide treatment preparation
By Kay Ledbetter
“Preparing for Brush Herbicide Treatments” is the title of the March 7 natural resources webinar hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service ecosystem science and management unit.
The webinar is part of the Texas Range Webinar Series scheduled the first Thursday of each month from noon to 1 p.m., said Pete Flores, AgriLife Extension webinar coordinator in Corpus Christi.
Dr. Bob Lyons, Texas A&M University ecosystem science and management associate department head and AgriLife Extension range specialist in Uvalde, will lead the webinar.
“Equipment, timing and application method can drastically vary the effectiveness of brush herbicide treatments,” Lyons said. “This webinar will cover the basics of how and what to look for before heading to the field to treat brush this season.”
One general Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education unit will be offered during this webinar, Flores said.
Participants seeking CEUs must pay a $10 fee online. For all others, there is no fee. This webinar and others in the series can be accessed at https://naturalresourcewebinars.tamu.edu/.
