The Second Civil War

Dear Editor,

How do civil wars happen? Two or more sides disagree on how the country should be run, and they can’t agree through elections or that elections should be the final factor on who governs [see today in D.C.]. When you hate each other but accept honest elections, there is a country; when you stop accepting election results, there is a countdown to civil war. We are almost there. The Democratic House seems unwilling to accept that most Americans do not want socialism.

Our government’s functions are based on the Constitution; when Democrats lost the White House and Congress in the last election, they began to use federal judges to issue indefensible “injunctions” to block legal steps. It creates a logjam for the system. Hence, the recent shutdown of the government. It seems that the strategy is: “Anything Trump wants, we will oppose.” This is not sound governance, and it is not why these people were sent to Washington.

There is a genuine threat to our southern border; The “Dreamers” are completely blameless. Why not make a deal and build better southern security there and create a path that provides legal resident status and future citizenship for the innocent? The president is open to this; the dems are not.

There exists a serious problem with the government, and the “Anything but Trump” left will continue to make things worse than better. Make no mistake: we are in a “soft” civil war with the leftist democrats. It’s not a shooting war, and I pray God it will not become one. It surely could be.

God bless America!
