Funeral services for Robert Allen Brantner, 90, were held on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Corinth Baptist Church in Dew.
Bro. Carl Clark & Bro. Johnny Veretto officiated. Interment followed at Dew Cemetery.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 5, 2019, with the family present, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home.
Mr. Brantner passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Teague Nursing Home.
Robert was born on April 12, 1928 in Bremond to Horace & Mabery Petteway Brantner. He attended school in Bremond.
Robert married Betty Willbanks Land on January 9, 1997 and they shared over 21 years together.
Mr. Brantner worked in trucking as a dispatcher for many years. He loved yardwork, especially weed eating. Robert loved people and never met a stranger.
He was a deacon at Corinth Baptist Church where he attended for many years.
Mr. Brantner is survived by his wife, Betty Brantner of Dew; four sons, Dean Brantner & wife Cindy of Pasadena, Richard Brantner & wife Charlotte of Teague, Casey Brantner & wife Faye of Mountain View, Arkansas, and Rob Brantner & wife Kay of Tennessee; one daughter, Paula Williamson of Orlando, FL; one step-son, Roy Land & Kelly of Buffalo; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Geri Smith of Tomball; two brothers, Charles Brantner of Lovelady, and Dud Brantner of Splendora; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace Shey & Mabery Petteway Brantner; and several brothers and sisters.
