FAIRFIELD
–November 30th – December 2nd
Fairfield Fest – Flea Market will be held early this month for gift shoppers.
Come shop local vendors at the Moody Reunion Grounds Friday 12-5, Saturday 9-5, and Sunday 9-3.
–December 1st – (Freestone County Museum)
Freestone County Historical Museum proudly announces the publication of former Sheriff J. R. “Sonny” Sessions, Jr.’s book, Freestone Past And Present.
The book was compiled by the museum’s board president, Linda Mullen.
The book sales will officially open on Saturday, Dec. 1st at the museum with a book signing from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Cost of the book is $75 and includes a free “Freestone Friends Pioneer Sponsorship,” good through December 2019. Freestone Friends will give you free visitation to the museum complex for a whole year, as well as a free newsletter subscription.
Hot cocoa and Christmas cookies will be while you wait, during the Dec. 1st event. On hand for signatures will be Linda Mullen, Eric Wood – transcriber, and possibly Peggy Sessions.
Admission will also be free for the day.
–December 1st – (Courthouse Square)
This event begins with a reading of the Christmas Story by Bettye Trask.
Old and young are invited to gather around the rocking chair to hear of sugar plums and sleigh bells.
The annual Christmas Parade will begin at 4:00 p.m., traveling down Main Street from the Elementary school and circling around the Courthouse.
For those participating in this year’s parade, be sure to line up by 3:00 p.m. Applications are available at the office of Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.
Arts & Crafts and Face Painting will be offered to the kids from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Petting Zoo with Nativity animals will also be available.
Live performance by local dance groups will be held at 5:15 p.m.
A Nativity Drama will be performed at 5:30 p.m., and again at 6:30 p.m., by members of River of Life Family Worship Center.
Santa Claus will visit with his young fans, and pose for pictures, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Our own Miss Texas, Madison Fuller, will kick off the official Christmas Tree lighting at 6:15 p.m.
This event is sponsored by the City of Fairfield and the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.
–December 2nd – (Courthouse Square)
River of Life Family Worship Center will present a live Nativity Scene and Petting Zoo at 6:30 p.m. on the Square on Sunday.
–December 3rd – (Fairfield High School Auditorium)
It’s the return of the legendary Miss Earth Pageant… The Powder-Puff of the Pageant World!!!
On Monday, Fairfield High School will be hosting the big event in the school auditorium beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are $5 per student and $10 per adult. All proceeds benefit Project Graduation.

TEAGUE
–December 1st – (Main Street & City Park)
Join the City of Teague for the first annual Tree & Main Street Lighting on Saturday.
Come early for the Hamburger Fundraiser, benefitting Christmas Kids; hosted by the First United Methodist Church. Cost is $6 per plate for hamburger, chips and dessert.
The Lighting of the Tree Downtown will take place at 6:00 p.m. with the annual Christmas Parade immediately following.
The parade will end up at the 8th Avenue City Park, where Christmas in the Park will officially open at 7:00 p.m.
Santa will arrive to the park, following the parade. The jolly ole’ elf will be available for pictures at the Boy Scout Building next to the park.
Come enjoy caroling, cookies, hot chocolate, ornament crafting and more at this year’s Christmas in the Park.
WORTHAM
–December 3rd
Santa Claus is coming to downtown Wortham, Texas on Monday, December 3rd!
Enjoy cookies and hot chocolate while you wait for your personal visit with St. Nick. He will be there for the children from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
Come hungry, as the Wortham Volunteer Fire Department will also be hosting their Chili Supper. Donations are appreciated.
