The Angelic Hosts came for Mrs. Emma Jane Scott, of Teague, Texas, on Friday morning, November 9, 2018 in the Skilled Care Of Mexia among loving family and devoted friends.

Viewing was held Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home with the family present from 6:00 PM-7:00 PM.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home Chapel with interment in the Waco Crematory, Waco, Texas.

Emma Jane Scott was born to Josie Gipson and Gipson Burrell in Simsboro Texas on March 25, 1923.

She received her education in the school districts of Buffalo and Salem, Texas.

She married L. C. Scott on January 1, 1939.  To this union were born 5 children:  Melba Price, Gerald Scott, Travis Howard , L. C. Scott, and Josie Ann Busby.

Her employment included that of a domestic and a housewife.

“Mother” (Emma Jane) was dedicated to the kids she raised along with her grand kids. Anyone that met her remembered her. She had a special cat named “Bobbi.”  She loved to cook and can vegetables and fruit. Prior to the failing of her health she was an active member of the Church of Christ in Teague, Texas under the leadership of Joseph Tinsley.

“Mother was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years L. C. Scott, Sr., her sons L. C. Scott, Jr. and Gerald (Bubba) Scott,’ her parents, Gipson Burrell and Josie Burrell, her Step father, McClinton Winn, her granddaughter Pamela, and great granddaughter Breyonna, grandson Albert, great grandsons A. J  Mack  and Robert Wells.

Surviving Mrs. Scott are her three daughters Melba Jean Price, Travis Howard (Calvin) of Teague, Texas, Joise Ann Busby (Arthur), Desoto, Texas, 38 grandchildren, 65 plus great grandchildren, 60 plus great-great grandchildren, 2 daughter-in-laws, Ida M. Scott and Debra Scott, and longtime friend Juanita Huckaby
