Betty Jane Morgan died peacefully on October 23, 2018 in Bryan, Texas at the age of 83.

Betty is survived by her husband of 67 years Charles Dunk Morgan, of Bryan, Texas, daughter Peggy Awalt and husband Marc of Bryan Texas, son Charles Dale Morgan and Susie Davis of Lakeway, Texas.

Grandchildren Renee’ Starns and husband Chris of Lovelady, Texas, Gerad Awalt and wife Kinsey of Welborn, Texas, Byron Awalt and wife Debbie of Bryan, Texas, Jason Willis of Atlanta Georgia, Alyssa Stuart and husband Seth of Austin, Texas and Carli Morgan of Austin, Texas. Betty was blessed with eight great grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart, Maddison, Morgan, Makenzie, Jake, Cannon, Sierra, Abbie and Jayde. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Stafford Brown and Viola Burrell Brown of Devers, Texas, and a brother Donald (Boog) Brown of Baytown.

Betty was born on January 28, 1935 in Liberty, Texas to Stafford and Viola Brown.

She attended Liberty and Hull Daisetta High school and married her high school sweetheart Dunk in 1951. They started their family and moved to Corsicana, Texas in 1954 and later moved to Fairfield, Texas in 1963 where they raised their family. In 2011 they moved to Bryan, Texas to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

Betty was very active in her church and community in Fairfield. She loved to travel with family and friends and was always ready to be the driver for anyone ready to take a trip! Flowers and herbs were her passion along with bird watching! She was a fabulous cook and baker and was well known for her Sweets!!!

A visitation will be held 11AM till Noon Monday October 29, 2018 Allison Funeral Service 1101 North Travis Liberty, Texas 77575, with a graveside service to be held at 1230PM at Guedry cemetery in Batson, Texas. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Betty’s life. The family asks that in Lieu of Flowers we ask that donations be made to the Chi St, Joseph Trauma medical center in Bryan Texas or to the National Cancer Society.
