Scarecrow Contest Winners Named

Fairfield Chamber of Commerce announces the winners of the Third Annual Scarecrow Contest.

Individuals, organizations and businesses competed in three groups:

–Adult:  First Place – New Life Church

–Youth:  First Place – Fairfield Cub Scout Pack 688 (above); Second Place – Butler Cottage

–Business:  First Place – Fairfield Lake State Park (above); Second Place – Brenda’s Closet; Third Place – Creations Flowers & Gifts

First Place winners received Chamber bucks to be spent in the community.

These scarecrows will be on display around the Freestone County Courthouse through the month of October.

Coming up next: First Ever Holiday Street Light Decorating Contest! Prizes are $500 for first, $300 for second, and $200 for third. Poles must be decorated by November 23rd and winners will be announced during ‘Jingle All The Way’ event on the square December 15th.
