An afternoon text from Teague ISD had parents scared for the safety of their students.
On Thursday, September 27, 2018 at about 12:30 p.m., Teague Police Department responded to a reported robbery at Pharmacy Plus.
According to a press release given by Teague PD, the suspect was a younger, light-skinned black male, wearing black tight jogging or sweat pants, and a black hoodie.
The clerks report that he jumped up on the counter, brandishing a semi-automatic pistol, and demanded narcotic pills.
After receiving the pills, he then left, running behind the building.
As a precautionary measure, Teague ISD locked down the school campuses to protect students and staff from any potential threat that may have existed. The lock down was later lifted once it was determined the situation was safe.
Teague PD is following up on various leads and working to identify the suspect in this case.
