Funeral services for Marcus Hargrove, 30, will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Frist Baptist Church in Teague. Bro. Scott Matthews will officiate. Interment will follow the services at Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Sunday with the family present from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague.
Marcus passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
He was born in Fairfield on December 7, 1987, to Mark & Donna Hartley Hargrove. Marcus grew up in Teague and graduated from Teague High School with the class of 2006. He loved music and could play multiple instruments and was very talented. Marcus enjoyed skate boarding, wake boarding, camping, and spending time and traveling with his kids and friends. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Teague.
He is survived by three children, Lyric Hargrove, Kaira Hargrove, and Harvey Hargrove; his parents, Mark & Donna Hargrove of Teague; one sister, Tiffany Strong & husband Stephen of College Station; maternal grandfather, Donald Hartley of Teague; paternal grandmother, Gladys Hargrove of Mexia; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Marcus was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Betty Hartley; two paternal grandparents, Johnny Hargrove and Carolyn Sue Hargrove; and one infant nephew, Baby Strong.
