SELLING HOMEMADE LOLLIPOPS, GUMMI BEARS, and popcorn is eleven-year-old Riley Hempel, who set up his Odd Ducks Candy Company booth at Fairfield Fest on Saturday, September 15, 2018.
“I got started by selling fig bread from my house, like that famous bread lady,” says Riley, speaking of Mrs. Baird’s Bakery.
Although this Teague young man has a hand in making all his concoctions, he says it’s a two-man operation with his parental unit, Megan Hempel.
If you missed out this month, don’t worry. Odd Ducks Candy Company is working on additional flavors for the next Market.
