The public is invited to listen to candidates for the Texas Legislature on the ballot in the November 6th general election.
Freestone County Retired Teachers and retired school employees will host political candidates at their September meeting.
Those confirming their attendance are Wesley Ratcliff, Democratic candidate for Texas House District 8, Cody Harris, Republican candidate for Texas House District 8 represented by Linda Timmerman (he is out of the country), and Meg Walsh or a representative from her campaign, Democratic candidate for Texas Senate District 5.
Republican candidate for Texas Senate Charles Schwertner has not responded that he will attend.
The meeting will be held at the Fairfield Harmony Presbyterian Church, 119 W. Main Street in Fairfield on Wednesday, September 12 at 10:30 a.m.
