Wortham Beat Coolidge in three games: 25-13; 25-7; and 25-9.
–Ashley Mao had 12 Kills and six digs.
–Rylee Goolsby had 9 kills and 3 blocks.
–Setter Jayde Hamilton had 3 kills, 15 assist, 2 digs, and one ace.
–Jessica Black had 2 kills and 2 digs.
–Samantha Wright had 2 kills, 3 digs and one ace.
–Skylar Phillips had 4 digs and one block.
–Setter Reagan Stuver had 12 assists and 4 digs.
Defense specialist Megan Whaley had 9 digs along with Spring Hogan with two digs. Libero Hallie Fautt had one ace and 17 digs. Serve receive was the beginning component that lead to many first ball kills.
Wortham came out strong in their district opener against Coolidge as a team that has the mindset to continue their goal of 21 consecutive years of playoffs.
