The Moody-Bradley House Foundation is having a Fundraiser on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at the Twisted Vines, 198 VFW Ln, Fairfield, Texas. Proceeds will be used for the immediate restoration project on the Moody-Bradley House, located at 318 Moody Street in Fairfield.
The Moody-Bradley House was built in 1860 for W. L. Moody and his wife, Elizabeth Bradley Moody, formerly of Fairfield, and prior to their move to Galveston. Their son, W. L. Moody, Jr. was born in the historic Home in 1865. The “Mary Moody Northen Library” in Fairfield is named in honor of his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Moody Northen.
This beloved home is part of Fairfield and Freestone County history, and holds memories for so many residents of Fairfield. We hear the stories of those memories during the annual Pilgrimage held on the grounds each May by the members of The Fairfield History Club, founded in 1925, who help contribute their time and efforts in preserving this beautiful Home.
Lead singer Jason Manning, whose hometown is Corsicana, Texas, and the Band, bring their passion and dedication to honoring the Eagles’ legacy with a performance that is outstanding. Every show features one brilliant hit after another with some of Don Henley and Joe Walsh surprises sprinkled into the mix.
