First Baptist Church to Welcome The Erwins and the Resurrection of Faith Tour to Palestine
First Baptist Church of Palestine will be host to gospel music artists “The Erwins” on Sunday, July 1st. The group will sing in both morning services, Traditional Service at 8:30 a.m. and Contemporary service at 10:45 a.m. Evangelist Dennis Erwin will preach in the 8:30 a.m. service and Pastor Tony Watson will preach in the 10:45 a.m. service.
That evening, The Erwins will be joined by soloist Joseph Habedank to present the “Resurrection of Faith Tour” at 5 p.m. Admission to all events is free and a love offering will be received. The church will have an ice cream fellowship following the evening concert. The public is invited.
The Erwins are the four children of Evangelist Dennis Erwin and his wife Tiffany. They have been singing since they could talk, and over the past several years have made quite a name for themselves as a singing group. They sing more than 270 dates each year ranging from revival meetings to church concerts to some of the biggest concert stages in gospel music to Christian cruises. They were privileged to sing on the televised portion of the Dove Awards. They call Edgewood, Texas home, but they are rarely there. Bro. Dennis has been preaching as an evangelist for over 40 years.
Joseph Habedank spent 10 years as lead singer with The Perrys before launching a solo ministry. In addition, he has a long list of credits for his songwriting. Joseph has also appeared as a vocalist on the Dove Awards and was recently nominated for a Grammy. His powerful vocals and his soul-stirring testimony communicate truth to audiences of all sizes.
Together, The Erwins and Joseph Habedank present the “Resurrection of Faith Tour” in selected cities all across America. They some music individually and as a five-person unit and the presentation communicates to people of all ages.
First Baptist Church Pastor Tony Watson says this is an unusual opportunity to hear both of these outstanding artists in the same setting. “Both of these artists are top-notch in their own right, but when they get together, something special happens. I have personally seen this event twice and it just keeps getting better. These artists have the same goals in mind and are incredibly talented, which provides for a high-quality music as well as ministry-focused presentation,” said Watson.
