What a great week this is going to be!  A friend of mine is coming to visit with her two grandsons, ages 10 and 8.  It will be nice to have little kids here once more to see the wonders of the ranch!  Of course, the wonders are created by the stories The Colonel tells when showing Fire Ant Alley, or Copperhead Valley, or one of the many other things he has named around the ranch.

He will take them for a ride in “the BOX” on the back of the tractor…something I bet they have never seen let alone ridden in!  They have never seen Pennigar’s Outlook (the tree house) or Lucinda Creek, or the Wild Country either.  They will also see Sundance for the first time and I hope she is on her best behavior.  She loves children but horses can be horsey at times!

We will have a wiener roast with the trimmings the first night they are here.  So grateful for the rain today, not only for that reason but also because we really need it!  From then on we will be “winging it” as far as food goes.  We still have all the “Snoopy” movies from our grandkids that kids everywhere and every age enjoy.

We have such great memories of our own grandchildren visiting and being thrilled on these adventures, especially since they still talk about them!  A great time will be had by all at The Red Oak Ranch!!!
