Alvin Hagen Richards, 18, of Mildred, Texas passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 at his residence in Mildred, Texas. He was born on August 10, 1999 in Ennis, Texas to Chad and Jerri Hogan Richards.
He graduated from Mildred High School in 2017, and worked as an administrative assistant at Corsicana Bedding. He was a fun-loving goof-ball, loyal friend that was always making people laugh.
Hagen was very protective of his siblings and friends, smart, a gamer, had a huge heart, loved his MeMe and Papaw, and friends became family to him during his teenage years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother B.A. and Essie Richards, Great Grandmother Margie Spicer, Grandfather Jerry Hogan and Cousin Briar Scruggs.
He is survived by his father, Chad Richards and wife Teresa; mother, Jerri Hogan-Richards and husband, Chuck Braun; sister, Brooke Richards; step-sisters, Hannah and Laura Basden; honorary brother, Timothy Collums; Grandmother, Glenda “MeMe” Brown and husband James “Papaw”; Grandfather, Buddy Richards and wife, Wanda; Grandmother, Juanita Hogan; Uncle Joey Richards and wife, Sheila, Uncle Shane Richards and wife Jennifer, Aunt Melissa Hogan, Aunt Tammy Cochran and husband Jason, Uncle Robert Hogan and wife Rocquel, Uncle James Hogan and wife Tiffany; numerous cousins and a large host of friends.
Visitation with the family was held Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Corley Funeral Home. A celebration of life service was held Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Grace Community Church with Rev. Jess Demarest and Rev. Tony Neal officiating.
Honorary pallbearers: Timothy Collums, Logan Smith, Tyler Land, Justin Land, Asher Elmore, Isacc Currie, Justin Jenkins, Ricky Zamora, Dustin Thompson, Devin Sikes, Dillon Driskell, Cain Smith and Sam Currie.

Hagen was a big guy with an even bigger heart and touched the lives of everyone he met. Hagen’s passing will forever leave a hole in our hearts but he has gone on to a better place.
