Charles Ritchey, 82, of Streetman, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 in Dallas.  Funeral services were held 3:00 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2018 at Capps Memorial Chapel with Dr. J. Kirk Ritchey officiating.  Cremation followed.

Mr. Ritchey was born September 13, 1935 in Westbrook, Texas to parents Floyd and Virginia Callan Ritchey.

He retired after 32 years of services as an electrical technician with Texas Utilities.  He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960 as an aviation electronics technician and for a portion of that time was a part of the support staff of the U. S. Navy Blue Angels precision flight team.

Charles and his wife Lorelei were married on September 8, 1962.  They moved to Freestone County in 1971 from Colorado City, Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairfield.

Charles loved hunting, fishing and playing games with family and friends at home.

He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 55 plus years,  Lorelei; two sons, Greg Ritchey and wife Helen of Mansfield, TX; J. Kirk Ritchey and wife Debbie of Pittsburgh, PA; two brothers, Floyd Lee Ritchey and wife Judy of Colorado, City, TX; John Ritchey and wife Andra Gay of Abilene, TX; three sisters, June Turnage of Colorado City, TX; Fay Stinson and husband Kenneth of Worland WY; Janice Kinser and husband Dan of Midland-Odessa, TX; nine grandchildren, Colby, Charlei Anne, Jordan, Jeffrey, Tony, Brandon, Joshua, Luke and Elijah.
