I was noticing how big and how full of roses the bushes had gotten! It is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, ladies, The Colonel, who last week was my Knight in Shining Armor was tarnished this week!!
I collected a large bouquet of three different roses and an Iris. I had red roses, yellow roses, pink roses and purple Irises in a large vase sitting in the middle of the table. The Colonel came in to have a break, getting something to drink and a snack.
He began talking to me about the calves, cows, and bulls…their antics, the condition of the pastures, fences, trees, etc. The whole time he was leaning over to look around the vase of loveliness!! I decided I could stand it no longer.
A break in the conversation allowed me to say to Rustic Armor Man, “how do you like the bouquet of flowers?” Suddenly they must have popped into his vision because he thought they were absolutely stunning! Men!
I bet if I had been cleaning a gun he would have noticed everything about the gun including when it was made, who by, who engraved it, what caliber it was, etc.
But I do have to add that he is pretty good about noticing things most of the time so I can’t be too hard on him. The Red Oak Ranch is growing some beautiful flowers that are just abundant this year!!
