Lessons Learned in Preparing for Drought Management will be the topic of the April 5 natural resources webinar conducted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service ecosystem science and management unit.

The webinar is part of the Texas Range Webinar Series scheduled the first Thursday of each month from noon to 1 p.m., said Pete Flores, AgriLife Extension webinar coordinator in Corpus Christi.

Dr. Cody Scott, Angelo State University department of agriculture professor in San Angelo, will lead the webinar.

“There are few certainties in range management,” Scott said. “For those living in much of Texas, we can typically expect below-average precipitation and drought. This presentation will focus on sound grazing management practices that can allow any landowner to avoid the pitfalls of unpredictable rainfall patterns.”

No Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units will be offered during this webinar, Flores said, so there is no fee.
