Several kid-friendly activities are planned this week in Freestone County.
–Teague–
The Community of Teague EASTER EVENT will be held Wednesday evening, March 28th, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the 8th Avenue City Park.
This FREE event includes movies, an Easter egg hunt, activity booths, and food.
Easter egg hunt begin promptly, so please arrive early. Groups are divided as follows: 0 to 3 Yrs, Pre-K to 1st Grade, 2nd to 4th grade, and 5th to 6th grade.
Sponsoring the event are the Teague Ministerial Alliance, Teague Chamber of Commerce, Teague Nursing & Rehab, and the City of Teague.
Don’t forget your Easter basket.
Note: In case of inclement weather, this event will be moved to 6:00 p.m. and be relocated to the Teague ISD Indoor Practice Facility.

Learn how Peter Rabbit became the Easter Bunny during STORY TIME at Fairfield Library on Wednesday, March 28th at 10:00 a.m.
Peter Rabbit was feeling very sorry, as he had been a very naughty little bunny when he snuck into Mr. McGregor’s garden. Hear the cute story by Grace Maccarone and enjoy crafts that you can take home with you.

Fairfield’s annual EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA will be held Saturday, March 31st on the Freestone County courthouse lawn.
This is a City of Fairfield event, manned and organized each year with volunteers from the Chamber.
Willy Nilly the Clown will be creating balloon animals for the kids, the Easter Bunny will pose for pictures, and the popular Hat Makers will return to help create extravagant head gear for the Parade.
Bring your little ones out to enjoy Egg Hunts, Face Painting, live bunnies and more from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Also on this day, Karsan’s Kona Ice will hold a ribbon cutting at 1:00 p.m. to celebrate their membership to the Chamber of Commerce.

Over 10,000 eggs at one event!
Join the folks at River of Life Family Worship for their annual EASTER EXPOSITION on Sunday, April 1st.
An outdoor service will be held under the circus tent from Big Top Hire Adelaide beginning at 11:00 a.m., followed by a FREE Easter lunch.
An Easter Egg Hunt will commence after lunch is served (rain or shine).
The event is FREE for kids and adults. Win up to $500 in the Egg Hunt.
There will also be door prizes, and a big 32-foot slide.

Join a Ranger for a workshop all about BIRDS! Meet at the Day Use Area at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 31st.
Event will last about one hour. Kid Friendly.
ARCHERY 202 is an International Style Archery Class designed to introduce target based archery for ages 10 and up.
Meet at the Volleyball Field at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 31st.
Must have adult present to participate.
Located northeast of Fairfield, Fairfield Lake State Park is set along the shoreline of a 2,400-acre lake.
Entrance fees are $4 for adults per day. Children 12 and under admitted free of charge. (Normal entry fees apply for all events)
