Fairfield Rotary President Elect, Lynn Simpson and District 5870 Assistant Governor, Landis Bayless attended the Lone Star PETS (President Elect Training Seminar) in Dallas this month.

Rotary Lone Star Presidents-Elect Training Seminar (P.E.T.S.) is Rotary’s training program for Rotary Club Presidents-elect and President-nominee throughout the State of Texas.

The goal of Lone Star PETS, as it is called, is to prepare Presidents-elect and President-nominees for their upcoming roles through provocative plenary speakers, in-depth breakout sessions, and informal fellowship and networking with Rotary peers throughout Texas.

Lone Star Presidents-Elect Training Seminar is a joint effort of ten Rotary International districts in the State of Texas.

Each year, over 550 Presidents-Elect attend Lone Star PETS and leave well-prepared for their Rotary year.

Lone Star PETS is organized by an Operating Committee made up of a Board of Directors for P.E.T.S. that works in concert with the District Governor-Elect of each of the ten participating Rotary Districts.

Additionally, Current Governors and Governor Nominees, plus a Past District Governors contribute to the PETS experience and by working with the PETS Operating Committee.
