Rainy weather has made practice a challenge for student athletes.
Here are a few changes made by Fairfield ISD coaches:
High School Baseball
Wednesday: practice from 4:00-6:00
Thursday: Varsity is scheduled to be in the Frankston Tournament, with play against Kemp at 9. Coach Crawford has also added Fairfield to the Dallas Pinkston High School tournament, in case Frankston gets cancelled. No practice for JV.
Friday: Frankston Tourney – 9 vs. Troup and 2:30 vs. Crockett or the Pinkston tourney. JV has no practice.
Saturday: Frankston Tourney – 9 vs. Tyler Grace or the Pinkston tourney.
Update from the Coach:
We have received updated schedules for this weekend. We play at 4:30 Thursday, 11:30 Friday and 11:30 Saturday. All games will be played at Faulkner Park in Tyler. JV will not practice, but the cages will be available to hit.
JV is not scheduled to play again until next weekend at the Madisonville JV tourney.
Junior High Track
Wednesday: Runners til 4:30 and Field event practice til 5 p.m. (Unless there is rain)
Thursday: no after school practice. Concession stand workers are needed for the High School Track Meet. Concession stand opens at 3:30 p.m. Contact Coach Stacy Bachtel for info.
Friday: Fairfield Jr. High Track Meet (Field events start at 4 p.m., running events start at 6 p.m.)
