The Angelic Hosts came for Will Roy Demus, Sr. on Sunday, November 26, 2017 in the Teague Nursing Home among loving family and devoted friends.
Viewing was held Friday, Dec. 1, 2017 from 10:00 AM — 11:00 AM
And Funeral Services began at 11:00 AM in the Moore’s Angelic Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wayne Williams and Min. Jimmy Abram officiating. Interment was in the Waco, Crematory, Waco, Texas.
Will Roy Demus, Sr. was born to George Demus and Celia Hair Brooks on November 16, 1941 in Freestone County, Texas. He was raised by his grandparents, Louis and Bossie Burton, and grew up in Freestone County.
Will Roy graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, Teague, with the Class of 1961.
After graduation, he moved to Ft. Worth, Texas and on March 21, 1964, Will Roy and Billie Jean Stephens were married. To this union a son was born.
After his move to Los Angeles, California, Will Roy became a long-haul truck driver for Coors Beer Co. He worked part-time for his uncles: Chester and Frederick Demus. He moved back to Teague and became employed with Bodine Salvage Co. where he remained until his health failed.
Will Roy transitioned from this side on the morning of November 26, 2017 in the Teague Nursing Home among loving family and devoted friends.
Preceding Will Roy in death were: his parents and grandparents.
Those left to cherish his memory are: His son, Will Roy Demus, Jr. (Bubba) of Dallas, TX. Sisters: Kathleen Demus and Dian Demus, Los Angeles, CA; 3 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren; Uncle: Melvin Demus and wife, Pricilla of Dallas, TX; Three brothers-in-law: Manning, Jr., David and Connie Ray Stephens of Fairfield, Texas; Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives and friends.
