It may be October, but garage sale season isn’t over yet!
Savvy shoppers are invited to check out a multi-faceted market of wonderful gently-used items during a ‘Community-wide Sale” at the Southern Oaks subdivision, on Saturday, October 21.
The sale will take place in the front and side parking lots as well as inside the Southern Oaks clubhouse, from 7 am to 4 pm. The clubhouse is located just north of the Shell Station on FM 416.
“This is an effort to bring together members of the communities on the south side of Richland Chambers Lake, not only for some great bargains, but also for a chance to gather in an informal setting and get to know neighbors,” said Mary Schutz, president of the SOPOA (Southern Oaks Property Owners’ Association) Board. “It’s an opportunity for folks to clean out their house or storeroom and make a bit of money for the holidays, or, for shoppers to get a great deal on some basic items or special treasures.”
Food will be available for purchase throughout the day, with a pancake breakfast in the morning and sandwiches and pie during the afternoon.

No early sales will be permitted. Prices to rent a table are $12 for SOPOA members and $15 for non-members.
